Our Vision
Waite Park Vision
The vision of Waite Park Church is the vision of the Kingdom. We believe at the heart of the Kingdom of God is Life—capital “L.” So many people think that when someone finds “religion,” they limit themselves and make their world smaller. But we believe Jesus when He says, “I came so they can have real and eternal life, more and better life than they ever dreamed of.” (John 10:10 MSG) Our vision is that we are a church full of people who Discover Life, Share Life, and Give Life.
Discover Life
“For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me and for the gospel will save it.” –Mark 8:35
-
We see a church where people, who are lost in both sin and dead religion, can find life in Jesus.
-
We see a church where all ages connect with Jesus through personal spiritual disciplines that allow Him to transform their habits and character.
-
We see Bible-centered teaching where people grow in their knowledge of God, themselves, and the world.
-
We see creative and inspirational worship services where faith is kindled into action.
Share Life.
“As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.” –Ephesians 4:1-2
-
We see a growing network of churches that serve as life centers of their neighborhood.
-
We see a praying church that continually sees God work in ways we can’t explain or take credit for.
-
We see people engaged in authentic, intentional relationships where people are encouraged and directed toward Christ-honoring lives.
Give Life.
“Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky as you hold firmly to the word of life.” –Philippians 3:15
-
We see our members actively and intentionally reaching out to all ages and ethnicities, inviting them into our community and relationship with Jesus.
-
We see a church that partners with organizations and agencies to give practical help to those in need.
-
We see our schools and Northeast neighborhood being transformed, broken relationships being restored, and races being reconciled by Jesus.
-
We see a church that sends money, resources and people to the mission field, both here and abroad.
