Here's What You Need to Know:
As it continues to get warmer out, more and more of our neighbors are riding their bikes either for leisure or to commute to work. Volunteer mechanics will be on hand in our church parking lot to service bikes on a first come, first serve basis (No need to sign up ahead of time).
The extent of tune ups we can offer includes fixing a broken cable, fixing a flat tire, adjusting the derailleur and brakes, tightening things up, assessing the degree of wear of the chain and drive-train, lubing the chain, etc.
If a bike has a major problem, like a bad bottom bracket bearing, we’ll diagnose it and recommend bike shops to get it fixed. We also provided free helmets (first come, first serve) that were generously supplied by the MN Dept. of Health's Injury Prevention Program. We love NE Minneapolis, our neighbors, and our bike enthusiasts.
This event is absolutely free. No tips or donations are accepted.
