"God isn't looking for people of great faith, but for individuals ready to follow Him"

— Hudson Taylor

"You will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."

- Jesus Christ

One beautiful thing about being involved in a local church that belongs to a denomination is that you are connected to the Body of Christ in incredibly tangible and powerful ways. The Wesleyan Church is a powerful force for God's kingdom in world missions. Here at Waite Park Church we believe in supporting global missions prayerfully, financially, and thoughtfully.

The International Ministries Commission (IMC) is a committee comprised of individuals who are passionate about what God is doing around the globe. The IMC hosts missionary events, raises money, and allocates it to our missionaries around the world in an effort to follow Jesus’ command in Matthew 28:19-20:  “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Missionaries We Support:

Andrea Swarthout

Andrea Swarthout served in Japan for two years as a Global Partners' intern missionary, and in February 2008 she was appointed to long-term missionary service. Andrea's passion is to assist the Japanese Church in their vision to become a dynamic influence and a thriving witness for Christ to the culture around them so that God may be honored.

Don and Cheri Floyd

Don is a trained carpenter and building contractor. He supports the Papua New Guinea (PNG) Wesleyan Church through building, maintenance, and training men in these skills. Cheri finds joy in health education and women's ministries. The Floyds have also worked in Bible college teaching and administration.

Geoff and Carrie Joe Cain

Geoff and Carrie Jo have been appointed by Global Partners to service as long-term missionaries in Sierra Leone at the Kamakwie Wesleyan Hospital (KWH). They desire to build relationships that will be spiritually encouraging to others, engage in discipleship, and be God’s tools in strengthening KWH’s relationship with the community and surrounding areas.

Matthew Blake

Matthew and his family have been living in the Czech Republic since 2003. Matthew works to develop church leaders across Europe, and locally he pastors an international church. Crystal reached out to people in their town and helped their Czech mission team prior to her passing in the Summer of 2016.

Ken and Cora Klay

Ken is currently working with the Transformational Education Network (TEN3). TEN3 is a program that is working to start and work with schools to use appropriate curriculum that transforms the students lives, not only with increased knowledge and skills but in their relationship to God as a foundation.

Perry Hubbard

Perry and Nancy Hubbard have been missionaries with Global Partners since 1986. They have served in Sierra Leone, Papua New Guinea, and Guyana. In 2008 they relocated to Panama. Nancy passed in 2018 and Perry continues to minister in Panama.

Our Focus seasons are a time for our whole church to make a concerted effort to take what we talk about on Sunday mornings and further is explore those ideas throughout the week on our own and in our small groups. We love this highly intentional time as a church and always look forward to seeing how God uses it. We invite you to follow along.
