Kory Kleinsasser
Lead Pastor
Pastor Kory Kleinsasser joined Waite Park Church in July of 2010. He's originally from South Dakota and comes to Minnesota, via Kentucky and Iowa. He graduated from the University of Sioux Falls and went on to Asbury Seminary in Wilmore, Kentucky. From there, he and his family moved to Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where they spent 13 years.
Kory is married to Ann and they have three kids; Emma, Ellie, and Duncan, and two sons-in-law, Angel and Cade. One of his joys is being a grandfather to Ana and Mateo. When he's not writing sermons, he loves to drink coffee, read, hang out with his family.
Abby Burg
Executive Pastor
Pastor Abby Burg joined Waite Park Church in August of 2020. She's originally from Wilmington, Delaware, but part of "home" will always be in Burkina Faso, West Africa, where her family served as missionaries. Abby has served for a decade in children's, family, and executive ministries in churches in western New York. Delaware, and now Minnesota. She graduated from Houghton College.
Abby is married to Andrew, her high school sweetheart. Together they enjoy breakfast dates, road trips, and writing postcards to their niece and nephews. They welcomed their son, Levi, in the summer of 2022 and are loving their new rhythms as a family of three.
Kari Britten
Family Ministry Director
Kari Britten has been a part of Waite Park Church since 2018 and joined the staff in 2023. She’s a Minnesota native and a neighbor to Waite Park Church. She has served in children’s ministry and as a 2nd grade teacher here in Minneapolis. Kari graduated from North Park University in Chicago with degrees in Children’s Ministry and Elementary Education.
Kari is married to Dante and they have four young children–twin girls and two boys. They enjoy walks together, camping and hiking in the summer, baking, snacking, and mess making.
