COME AS YOU ARE
Whether it’s a bad church experience growing up or the feeling that religion has nothing to offer, people have their reasons for staying away from church.  Maybe when you think about the church, you think about things like judgmental people, rules and regulations, or hypocrites.  Well we’d like to change that because we believe that’s never what Jesus intended.

Jesus said, “I came so they can have real and eternal life, more and better life than they ever dreamed of.” (John 10:10 MSG)  Church should bring life, not steal it.  We don’t believe you need to have it all together before you come to church.  We say “Come as you are!”  We’re not perfect either, we’ll accept you, love you, and we’ll all work on our stuff together.

We’re excited to have our new website up and going.  As you can see it’s still a work in progress.  In the future, we’ll have blogs, sermons, videos and other great things—but it all takes time.  For now, you can find sermons and fun videos on our Facebook page.  Check back often to find new things from Waite Park Church!

NEW PASTOR
Let me introduce myself. My name is Kory Kleinsasser and I’m new here. I believe Jesus came to set us free—free from sin and free from religion. These are both things that hold us hostage: sin because when we’re caught in the grips of addiction, we’re not free to live up to what God created us to be and religion because Jesus’ answer to slavery to sin is not slavery to rules and regulations, but it’s the freedom that comes in being a child of the creator of the universe.  That was Jesus’ message and life’s mission.

Jesus hung out with “sinners” and had harsh words for religious people who didn’t recognize they were also sinners.  Jesus calls us to come as we are; sins, hurts, and garbage from our past.  His desire is to take those things away and free us to be the people He created us to be. Jesus brings LIFE! I hope you’ll come check us out sometime.
